A green score is not an SEO strategy.

Your site can pass an audit and still answer none of your customer’s questions. Start with access, relevance and the next useful action.

Separate being found from being useful.

An audit tool can tell you that a title exists. It cannot decide whether the page gives someone a reason to choose your business. Start with the search you want to earn, the page that should answer it and what the visitor should understand before they leave.

For a service business, one specific service page often needs more attention than another ten broad blog posts. Explain the problem, the scope, the process and the questions customers ask before making contact.

Fix the foundations in an order you can explain.

Google’s SEO guidance emphasises content people find useful and a technical structure search systems can access. We turn that into a practical review of the actual pages, rather than a score-chasing exercise.

  • Can the intended page be crawled and indexed?
  • Is the title accurate, and does the page answer its main question?
  • Do internal links help people find related information?
  • Can a mobile visitor read, navigate and make contact without friction?

Measure the experience, too.

Core Web Vitals cover loading, interaction and layout stability. The recommended good thresholds are LCP at 2.5 seconds or less, INP at 200 milliseconds or less, and CLS at 0.1 or less, assessed at the 75th percentile of real visits. A single lab run is a useful diagnostic, not the whole picture.

Tie improvements to a business question.

Track the journey from a relevant search to a useful page and then to a meaningful action. If visitors arrive but do not enquire, inspect the offer and the contact flow as well as the technical report. More traffic is only helpful when the right people can do the right thing.
